Definition: Sandbox
We say a site has been put in Google sandbox when it has a page rank of 0. It is still indexed but at the end of the list so it is seen by almost nobody. This effect can be applied to all searches or a group of keywords in particular. A new site is also placed in the sandbox during sometime in order to fight spammers that create sites with the only aim to manipulate the search results.
